Let's face it, there are some breeds of dog out there that are known for their females being more calm, gentle, more nurturing around our own  children, and just less likely to be 'high-maintenance' overall.  We get that, we've even grown up with them ourselves!

Now, we'd like you to feel at ease while we remind you that you are currently looking at Basset Hounds, a breed that is known for their loveable yet lazy demeanor, loyalty, and sympathetic personalities, no matter what their gender!  

We've witnessed in our own home that our males are every bit as calm (unless of course there are rabbits to be chased), playful yet forgiving with our human kids as the females, and will even try to help with their own litters! ( When the Mama allows of course;)

So please, feel free to reserve the pup that 'calls you', and not just base the choice solely on gender, you won't regret it.  Happy puppy shopping!
